Band New Life comprising of ace percussionist Sivamani, singer Runa Rizvi and the fastest Indian on keyboards Stephen Devassy enthralled music lovers with their performance in the city on Saturday evening at PBEL City Grounds. Organised as a part of Hydourite festival, the performance was a fusion of percussions, jazz, Sufi, ghazals and Indian classical music that had quite the crowd for an audience.

From solo performances from each artist to a jugalbandi, the evening air had melodies like Allah Hu, Rajiye Naal Sajan de Rahiye and so on. Other hits such as Jai ho, Roja janeman, Tu hi re tu hi re, Dil se, Hamma, Chura liya and Dama dam mast kalandar were also performed much to the delight of the crowd.

At the end of the concert, Sivamani got a little nostalgic, recalling his association with the city through his godfather SP Balasubrahmanyam, the first visit to Hyderabad, the start of his career playing drums for the movie ‘Siri Siri Muvva’ and so on.

The Hydourite festival is a 100 days of celebrations created to enmesh the spirit of Hyderabad. The festival is organised by KPMA and MIRA Events.
