IRCTC Offers 15% Discount on Railway Tour Packages during Summer Holidays
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), South Central Zone, Hyderabad, on Monday announced discounts of up to 15 percent on all its Rail Tour Packages (RTP). This is with immediate effect and is aimed at benefiting summer holiday tourists and pilgrims.
IRCTC, Hyderabad, is also offering various other tourism packages to suit the requirements of a cross section of the people, including students. Hyderabad city tour package with one night stay at Ramoji Film City is on offer for school and college students at a rate of Rs 2,180 per person. For others, the package is available in the price range of Rs 2,300-Rs 2,540 depending on the type of vehicle for transport. The package includes pick-up from Secunderabad/Hyderabad/ Kacheguda railway stations, check-in at Ramoji Film City, along with sightseeing and night stay, complimentary breakfast on the second day as also a sightseeing tour of Hyderabad before dropping off the person at Secunderabad/Hyderabad/Kacheguda railway stations.
Ajanta Tour:
A tour package of Aurangabad, Ajanta and Ellora is available at Rs 2,540 per person. This includes pick-up from Aurangabad railway station, accommodation in a hotel, sightseeing in Aurangabad city, and visit to Ellora and Ajanta caves before being dropped off at Auranagabad railway station.
A tour package is available for government employees availing Leave Travel Concession (LTC) to Jammu and Kashmir. There are two options available under this package. One is for a duration of seven Nights/eight days, covering Jammu-Srinagar-Gulmarg-Sonmarg-Pahalgam-Srinagar. This is on offer at Rs 18,000 (standard) and Rs 21, 500 (comfort) per person under triple occupancy for a group size of 13 persons.
The other program is five nights/six days duration covering Srinagar-Gulmarg-Pahalgam-Sonmarg-Srinagar. This is on offer at Rs. 17,000 (standard) per person under double occupancy for a group size of eight persons. The IRCTC is also introducing charter coaches to Varanasi and Rameswaram during summer holidays as a pilgrimage tour.
