Seize the Moment with Carpediem!

CBIT’s biannual technical and cultural Fest is all set to be held on April 10 and 11 at the college premises

Touted as the biggest cultural fest across the South India Carpediem VII , just got bigger and better with Kanan Gill, stand-up comedian and Mohit Chauhan, Bollywood singing sensation and Lost Stories – EDM duo will perfrom at th efest along with several others.

The Student Body of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology revealed that the biannual college fest will see the line up of concert, tech expo, jugaad, seminars, hackathon, rapid prototyping, design thinking workshop, fashion show, comedy, dance, DJ night, singing, band performance, gigs, literary events etc.

The fest will also have a carnival. This year, however, students will represent all major carnivals of the world – Rio Carnival, Paris-de-Carnival, Chinese Dragon Festival; Goan Carnival; Russian Carnival, Thai Carnival, Belgian Carnival, I biza (Spain) Carnival and several. And that’s not all – there will be massive masquerade bands, spectacular costumes; pulsating music.

As many as 50 colleges are expected to participate with a footfall is 15,000 students.

On the ocassion, B Chennakeshava Rao, principal of the college said the objective of the fest is to help students learn by doing. Improve their organising skills, marketing skills etc. The main objective is to help them excel in exctracurricular as well as co-curricular activities.

One of the most looked forward to segment of the fest will be the Conclave of Speakers,wherein every great person has to tell an inspring story based on themes like – You and Sports, Youth and Entrepreneurship, Youth and Social Media and You and Governance and several others. .

To speak about their amazing journeys there will be JA Chowdary of Talent Sprint; Honey Bajaj, storyteller and design thinker; Manjula Naidu, Telugu telly director; Ramana Gogula, Tollywood music director; Ramesh Loganathan, president of HYSEA and several other.

Carpediem will also have a unique event ‘Makers Space’ where industries meet the creators directly. It is an initiative for young innovators to showcase their creations which will orchestrate the atmosphere and provide platform for people to interact and collaborate. In nutshell, it is an event of innovation, creation which when applied will help improve the present world he said.

This fest is the amalgamation of education and creativity. It is with a sense of pride that we can all it the ‘Best’ fest at a college level. We break boundaries, push limits, broaden horizon, work ourselves to the point of breaking informed Aneesh Reddy Bizzul, Vice President. Carpediem is one of a kind and the attention it receives proves it. Students are the organisers of the fest. It will be great learning experience for all its participants, she said.
