Lifestyle Major Ogaan Enters Online Market

Georgette saris, velvet jackets and kundan necklaces-find all this and more on Ogaan’s new online store

HYDERABAD: Be it dressing up a bride or buying a top for work, Ogaan has always made it to the top of the list. With 25 years of experience in fashion, the New Delhi-based brand recently branched out online by launching its website this week. “We have worked with a lot of designers in the retail format, now it is time to take the online route,” shares Aashti Bhartia, daughter of founder Kavitha Bhartia.

Known for their traditional Indian attire, the website also playshost to a lot of contemporary designs-from velvet jackets to hand woven gold skirts by designers like Akaaro and Anavila.

One for all

Known for their carefully curated collections, Aashti says, “We have made sure there is a good mix of traditional and contemporary.”

The e-store also offers accessories like earrings, hoops, ear cuffs, bracelets and necklaces (we love their hand-crafted kundan necklace), along with hand woven scarves by Payal Pratap, Vasundhara Mantri and Maithili Khabre. “All the designs have a hand crafted element, be it the fabric or the print used, since that is what Ogaan is all about,” smiles Aashti.

Up next

All set to launch their summer collection soon, Aashti reveals that we can expect a lot of handwoven cotton and linen. “There will also be chiffon and georgette saris,” she adds, concluding that Ogaan has always worked towards catering to both metros and smaller towns and they will continue to do so via their website, too.

Price range: Rs 1,000 to Rs 70,000.
