Action Plan to Clear Garbage from Markets

HYDERABAD:GHMC special officer has said  that the corporation was preparing an action plan to clear garbage in a systematic manner from the 13 main agricultural markets in its limits.

These agricultural markets are generating huge waste causing inconvenience to the citizens. Somesh Kumar along with solid waste management experts Majumdar and Sanjay Singh, additional commissioner N Ravi Kiran and marketing committee members inspected Gudimalkapur fruit market and vegetable market at Mehdipatnam on Tuesday.

Somesh Kumar said that the lifting of garbage should be be streamlined from all the fruit and vegetable markets situated at Gaddiannaram, LB Nagar, Madannapet, Miralam Mandi, Malakpet, Begum Bazar, Osmangunj, Kishan Gunj, Moosapet etc.

The special officer further directed the officials to personally monitor lifting of the garbage in all the fruit and vegetable markets in the city. The traders were also asked to put up their own dust bins in front of their shops and dump the garbage in the bin rather throwing it on the road.

Somesh Kumar also directed the officials to provide rest rooms, drinking water, toilets etc., to the farmers who are coming from different parts of the state for doing their business.
