Hotel Owner Stabbed to Death over Tea
HYDERABAD: A hotel owner was stabbed to death by an youngster in a busy area in broad daylight following an altercation over tea here on Friday. The incident took place at MG Hotel under Begumpet police limits.
Angry over delay in serving tea, the assailant tried to assault a hotel employee but the hotel owner Jehangir intervened and pacified him.A mild argument ensued between the two and in a fit of rage, the youth identified as Sohem stabbed Jahangir with a sharp knife as other customers and passersby watched in horror. The attacker later fled the scene.
Jahengir was shifted to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead. The attack was captured on a CCTV camera on the road. Police reportedly took the culprit Sohem Khan into custody. Begumpet police registered a murder case and further investigation is on. Police however, ruled out previous enmity between them.
