SBI Opens Branch at Jillellaguda

HYDERABAD: The leading public sector bank,  State Bank of India, opened a branch at Jillellaguda here on Monday. It was inaugurated by chief general manager CR Sasikumar.

It is the bank’s 197th semi-urban branch, 431st branch in Telangana and 78th in Ranga Reddy district. With this, the number of SBI branches in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has reached 1,423.

According to SBI, the Hyderabad Circle covering Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, runs 64 pc of its branches in rural and semi-urban areas, 19 pc in urban and 17 pc in metros.

The circle employs 18,500 persons, manages cumulative deposits worth Rs 78,000 crore. Of the total deposits, 84 pc are from households. It has given advances to the tune of Rs 61,000 crore.
