HYDERABAD: Purdah will be held on March 27 at Goethe-Zentrum from 6:30 pm onwards. The programme will feature a Mushaira of Hyderabadi women poets recited by the young girls of Shaheen, directed by Jameela Nishat, followed by a musical performance by Hannah Winzentsen (Mohanveena) and Anant Pingle (Tabla). Hannah Louise Winzentsen, born in Hamburg/Germany, found her spiritual home in the ancient classical Raaga music of India, where the creative inventive mind meets a deep meditative state of silent awareness.

She has lived in Varanasi since eight years studying the Indian slide guitar or mohanveena with Dr Sanjay Verma. Since one and a half years she is a student at the Dhrupad Institute, Bhopal, to study the Vichitra Veena with Umakant and Ramakant Gundecha(Padmabhusan).
