HYDERABAD: The state government carved out five new municipalities from Ranga Reddy district surrounding Hyderabad on Monday. The government de-notified certain gram panchayats and created Jalpally, Meerpet, Jillelguda, Boduppal and Peerzadiguda municipalities.

Accordingly, Jalpally, Kothapet, Phadisharif and Balapur will be part of Jalpally municipality. Similarly, Boduppal and Chengicherla gram panchayats will be merged to form Boduppal Municipality.

Medipally, Parvathapur and Peerzadiguda gram panchayats will come Peerzadiguda municipality in Saroornagar and Ghatkesar mandals respectively. Meerpet gram panchayat and Jillelguda gram panchayat will be turned into Meerpet municipality. and Jillelguda municipality respectively. Orders to this effect were issued on Monday.
