HYDERABAD: After seizing hundreds of sale deeds and other land documents from the residences of gangster Nayeemuddin and his associates, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) officials will start verifying the slain gangster’s assets in other states.
A day after the formation of the SIT, led by North Zone IG Y Nagi Reddy, the officials have intensified the probe and found illegal assets worth several thousand crores. Nagi Reddy said that cases were registered in connection with illegal assets of Nayeem and his associates at various places across the state. Since all these cases originating in various districts appear to be related, the SIT officials would investigate them.
“We request people to inform the SIT committee on 94406 27218 or contact the nearest police station, if they are victims of Nayeem’s illegal activities,” Nagi Reddy said.
“Anybody having any knowledge about the Nayeem gang are also requested to inform the SIT and help us unearth the activities of the gang,’’ Reddy added.
