HYDERABAD: A cricket betting racket was busted and five persons were arrested by the Task Force police in a raid here on Wednesday. Police seized TV set, set up box, voice recorder, 16 mobile phones and `19, 100 cash from them.
On a tip off, the police carried out raids and found the accused accepting betting amounts from punters over mobile phones for the ongoing match between Adelaide Strikers Vs Perth teams in Australia.
The arrested include Kuldeep Singh, S Chandra Shekar, Yashpal Sharma, T Anil Singh and R Ajay Kumar.
Kuldeep Singh was earlier arrested in 2014 for running cricket betting. The accused along with seized property were handed over to Sultan Bazar police for further action.
