3-Day Builders' Meet in Hyderabad From Today

HYDERABAD: An all-India convention of builders will be held here from Friday to Sunday. The convention will discuss the problems being faced by builders and contractors, and create awareness about the latest trends and technologies.

“Due to rise in the price of cement and other materials, payments are being inordinately delayed. As a result, builders and contractors are running into losses. If this situation continues, the industry will become sick soon. The convention is being held to discuss and seek solutions to such problems,” said N Nagesh Reddy, chairman of the Builders Association of India (BAI), here on Thursday.

“Due to the prevailing conditions in the sector, many contractors and builders are going bankrupt. We will try to address these problems at the convention,”  Reddy explained.

The convention is being organised by the 75-year-old BAI which acts as a bridge between the government and contractors and highlights issues of the construction sector.

Reputed builders, contractors, architects, manufacturers of construction equipment and building materials will participate in the three day convention.
