Water Board to utilise app to monitor works in city

HYDERABAD: The HMWS&SB willnow use a mobile app to keep a track of availability of men, machinery at a work site and the water board in functioning smoothly Managing Director M Dana Kishore said the app would be developed and made available to MLAs, Corporators, Managers (E) of Projects Wing under their jurisdiction.

The MD on Saturday reviewed the progress of construction of reservoirs under the `1,900 crore Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) aided water supply improvement and distribution network in the peripheral municipal circles.

Dana Kishore instructed the officials to expedite and complete the works within schedule. He viewed the live CCTV camera coverage and interacted with managers (Engg) at work sites from the Command Control Centre, Board Office, Khairatabad.
Earlier, the MD reviewed the JAL App complaints of O&M Division V, Narayanaguda. JAL is an internal Information System wherein linemen are given android phones to file complaints about water supply, sewerage, billing, pollution.These complaints are relayed to Manager (E) concerned for taking action.
