Congress blames KTR for deaths & chaos in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The Congress held Municipal Administration and Urban Development minister KT Rama Rao responsible for the havoc caused by the heavy rains in the city on Wednesday.

Accompanied by senior Congress leaders, Opposition leader in Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir visited Bholakpur on Wednesday evening and offered condolence to Mohammed Nadeem, who lost his wife and two daughters, due to collapse of house.

Speaking to media later, Shabbir Ali alleged that Rama Rao has failed to do his job properly. “The water-logging, submergence of low-lying areas and collapse of weak structures resulting in seven deaths clearly exposes the failure of not only GHMC, but also Rama Rao,” he said.

He also appealed to all Congress workers to help the citizens who were affected due to heavy rains.
