HYDERABAD: On the objections raised by owners of Lodha Meridian and Lodha Belleza in KPHB colony, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) directed M/s. Lodha Construction Company to furnish details on the construction activity and amenities provided by the builder in 10 days. The flat owners of the two apartments met GHMC commissioner, B Janardhan Reddy and presented their grievance about lack of amenities in Lodha Meridian stating that the constructions are being made against the sanctioned plan. Responding to their plea, Janardhan Reddy directed the management of the construction company to furnish entire details of the proposed construction in ten days to the GHMC.

Commissioner during the meeting with flat owners and builders at GHMC Head Office on Friday, directed the builder to construct building as per the approved plan maintaining proper space for parking lots, club house, greenery and other recreation facilities and further directed to furnish the entire details before of August 29.A few days ago, Meridian owners sent a series of tweets to MAUD minister KT Rama Rao requesting him to demolish a compound wall constructed between the two apartments. KTR then directed GHMC to demolish the compound wall.

A flat in Belezza Towers costing `4.50 crore has been provided with host of amenities whereas the flats in Meridian apartments costing `55 lakh to `1 crore have not been provided with adequate amenities and so they want to utilise facilities provided in Belezza towers by demolishing the compound wall. A notice was issued by GHMC to demolish the compound wall that separates the two properties built by Lodha Group, after which Belezza owners moved to HC which directed GHMC to give a week’s time for residents associations to respond and hear their issues.

The Bellezza Flat Association members stated that the builder made changes to the layout of Lodha Bellezza and Meridian projects and dramatically increased the number of flats in Meridian towers. The builder agreed to create a clear separation between the two properties by putting a boundary wall.
However, Lodha spokesperson stated that the protests are regrettable and said that the company held meetings with the residents where the company has agreed to address the additional concerns they raised.
