Professor Tirupati Rao to meet Hyderabad School Parents Association members in September

HSPA was also told that the portal where schools will have to upload their details will be ready for launch by August end.

HYDERABAD:  A meeting of Prof Tirupati Rao with parents and school association and other members of the committee will be held in September. However, this comes with a rider that the meeting will be convened only after the portal, where the schools will upload their details, is up and running. Hyderabad School Parents Association, which gave a call for the meeting, however, is sceptical and feels it’s another delaying tactic. The report that was supposed to be submitted in April is yet to see the light of the day.

The committee was constituted to set up the District Fee Regulatory Committee in a bid to crack a whip on private schools that have been charging exorbitant fees. “It took almost 20 days for the commissioner (School Education) to forward the letter from HSPA to Prof Tirupati Rao. They have said that the meeting will be convened in the first week of September but a date hasn’t been fixed. Let’s see how much more time will it take,” said Ashish Naredi, a member of the Association.

HSPA was also told that the portal where schools will have to upload their details will be ready for launch by August end and that the reason for the delay was that Prof. Rao was intent on calling a meeting after the portal launch. HSPA has shot a video on the popular ‘Sonu’ parody to be sent to the Chief Minister. In the song, expected to be released on Tuesday, a person dressed as K Chandrashekar Rao is surrounded by people who are asking “KCR Padhai ki Tumku fikarich Nai Kya.”
