HYDERABAD: Is the GTI really the hot hatch in Hyderabad?
Volkswagen India organised a customised drive event for its customers to experience the newly launched Hot Hatch in Hyderabad.
The drive, conducted on Saturday at the Chicane Circuit, Shameerpet, showcased the GIT in new light.
The first thing that attracts you when you get into the ‘tiny monster’ GTI from the European automobile maker, is its plush, luxurious interior.
The leather with a dash of red stitching on the multi-function sport steering makes you grab the wheel. It’s only when you switch from the drive mode to sports mode that you can feel the power of the engine.
GTI’s 192 PS sheer power goes from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.2 seconds with automatic 7 speed gear box and the top speed of the GTI is 233 kmph.
The Volkswagen Polo GTI comes equipped with plenty of safety features to begin with it gets an electronic differential lock, six airbags, electronic stability control and also EDTC. The hatchback also gets wheel locks with extended anti-theft protection. The hot hatchback gets disc brakes on all its four wheels completely with red callipers. Price `25.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
