HYDERABAD: The Kansas killing has apparently brought out two different faces of America. While one is of a Caucasian American, a 51-year-old Adam Purinton, who shot and killed an Indian engineer and injured another; the other is also of a Caucasian American, 24-year-old Ian Grillot who took a bullet to protect the Indians.
As per reports in American press, Grillot, was hiding behind a table in the bar where the shooting occurred. He counted the gunshots and pounced at Purinton to snatch the gun. Unfortunately, he had miscalculated the shots fired. There was one more bullet left in the gun which he fired at Grillot. As per reports, Grillot, is in hospital but is out of danger.
While Srinivas Kuchibhotla died, Grillot’s heroics helped save the life of the other Indian, Alok Madasani.
Purinton exposed the dreadful face of racist America, but Grillot showcased there is another side too which does not discriminate.
