Hyderabad woman jumps in front of train with two sons

Bodies of a 30-year-old woman and her two sons were found on the railway tracks between Lalaguda Gate and Malkajgiri railway station in Secunderabad government railway police limits on Saturday.

HYDERABAD: Bodies of a 30-year-old woman and her two sons were found on the railway tracks between Lalaguda Gate and Malkajgiri railway station in Secunderabad government railway police limits on Saturday. They reportedly committed suicide in front of a speeding train the previous night.

The deceased have been identified as N Gouramma. Her two two sons, N Naga Raju, a Class I student, and N Sai Teja, a UKG student, were in their school uniform. Around 5.30 am on Saturday, passersby noticed the bodies on the railway track and alerted Malkajgiri police.  

“We found three bodies lying on the tracks. Based on the identity cards recovered from the bodies of the boys, we identified the deceased,’’ A Anjaneyulu, Secunderabad Railway Inspector said.
According to police, Gouramma was married to one Bandalaiah 14 years ago. Hailing from Nagurkurnool district, they had migrated to Hyderabad ten years ago.

“Bandalaiah a daily-wager,  used to harass his wife for money to buy alcohol. Unable to bear the harassment, she ended her life along with the children,” the inspector said. The bodies were shifted  to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem and later handed over to their family members.  Police registered cases cases and further investigation is on.
