A traffic bottleneck at Musheerabad Junction comprising eight shops in ground floor and a restaurant on first floor occupying 176 sq yards of Wakf land was demolished on Saturday by town planning officials of GHMC and HMRL.

The stretch at the junction of Metro Rail corridor-II is narrow and with this demolition, a left splay will be created towards Bhoiguda-Secunderabad railway station and remaining three Metro Rail pillars at Musheerabad Junction can be taken up, HMRL MD NVS Reddy stated. A sum of `1.72 crore has been paid to Wakf Board for the acquisition of this property, he added.
