He began his address stressing the need to be humble and modest and wanted the students to remember a Chinese saying “May you live in interesting times”. Revolutionary changes are taking place through pace of technology which are encouraging students from all disciplines start-ups and help the poor, physically challenged, rural and urban people and also Girijans who are living in far flung area. He cited the examples of how technocrats and NGOs have taken initiatives for helping the unfortunate millions people living in India.

He lauded Srikanth Bola,  a visually impaired boy from AP, who was rejected an entry into IIT INDIA and took as a challenge with his indomitable spirit could earn an admit into MIT (USA) with hundred percent scholarship. He came back as a young inclusive entrepreneur and started an organisation which is completely an eco-friendly company which has an annual turnover of `150 crore and providing employment to young talented and even incapacitated people like him. 

Varun also inspired the students by quoting the example of a girl in Karnataka State who developed an app titled “Next Drop”.

This helps the villagers to know to when the next water tanker is going to come to a village and also the quantity of water being transported so that the villagers need not wait for long hours unnecessarily leading to loss of day’s employment. He also spoke of a technocrat who developed an app called ‘Vakil Search” so that poor people get information and access to advocates who can help them with least cost.  

Dr K Prithivipathi Rao, Chairman, Dr. K T Mahhe, Secretary/ Correspondent, K Abhjit Rao , Member Board of Governors, Dr. P Narasimha Reddy Executive Director, SNIST and Dr. K Sumanth Principal of the college addressed the students on this occasion.
