HYDERABAD: In a shocking incident, a woman was dragged for around 100 meters by an auto driver on the busy Attapur road after she entered into an argument with him. The woman had an argument with the driver after she was hit by the auto while standing on the road at Hyderguda in Attapur.

The entire incident was filmed by a passerby and the video, which went viral, is now the basis for the city police to identify the victim and trace the auto.

According to sources, around 8.30 am on Tuesday morning some people were waiting at an auto stand near pillar number 155 in Attapur. A speeding auto which stopped at the stand hit the woman identified as Shabana. Enraged over this, the woman shouted at the auto driver.  Another auto driver Sanjay, who was there at the time of the incident, told Express that the auto driver shouted back and abused her in vulgar language.

“She (Shabana) was holding the rod between the driver and passenger seats and was arguing with the driver. There was a passenger along with a kid in the auto. The driver suddenly started the auto and the woman was dragged for about 100 metres on the road. All of us ran towards the auto asking him to stop the vehicle. He stopped the vehicle for a moment and then fled,” said Sanjay.  Locals shifted her to the nearby private hospital.
