Sleuths received training before probing stars

How will you extract information from a mind prpeared for dodging questions after a crash-course on how not to spill the beans?

HYDERABAD: How will you extract information from a mind prpeared for dodging questions after a crash-course on how not to spill the beans? For sleuths and officials of the Telangana Prohibition and Excise department, grilling Tollywood personalities is a first such experience since past many years.

In connection with the drug bust case, all four celebrities summoned and questioned so far have been grilled by the sleuths for 8-14 hours. To get maximum information, a refresher-training session of sorts was held for the department’s officials with trainers, and their higher-ups. They brainstormed the questions that need to be asked, time interval at which Call data Records, photographs and other evidence had to be produced to find connection between celebrities and alleged drug peddlers.

A few days before the marathon questioning sessions of the celebrities began, sleuths and officials anticipated that some celebrities would undergo preparation on how to answer questions and avoid being in tight spots. The sessions, with trainers and higher-ups in the department, was to counter the preparation of celebrities in dodging questions.

Another sensational case

The case of duty-free liquor racket involving Customs and Central Excise officials, employees of RGIA and others involved in buying foreign liquor from duty-free shops using passports of unsuspecting air passengers, smuggling bottles out of airport and selling it for higher prices, was another sensational case.
“Whenever we have any special case, we speak to trainers, higher-ups, about the proceedings. The celebrities definitely were prepared, took expert advise on how to face SIT’s questions,” sources in the department said.  Sources added that there is a pattern to the way they are answering the questions. “All of them seem to be repeating the same story. We will crack this situation too,” sources said.

RGV at it again
Nobody is denying the integrity of Mr Sabharwal or his department but even without any charges or conclusive proof to allow the media leaks to destroy the reputations of people apart from causing distress to their families is highly deplorable Director's Facebook post
