HYDERABAD: On Wednesday, when a farmer from Pallerla village was working on his agricultural field, he found skeletal remains while digging soil. He also found a trouser and an empty bottle which were buried, said sources.

P Yadagiri, Yadadri DCP, said parents of Naresh are claiming that the trousers recovered is that of their son. “Naresh’s father’s DNA samples will also be collected for analysis. The report should come in a month,” DCP said.

He also said that the prime accused in the case T Srinivas Reddy, father of Swathi will be taken into custody once the report arrives. The recovery of the remains on Wednesday by Bhongir police has raised suspicion on the investigation done by the senior police officers who were appointed specially to probe the case in which the High Court had ordered for an in-depth inquiry.

It is also rumoured that police have tried to finish investigation as to submit a report to High Court which had put a deadline of June 1 for Rachakonda police.

Amboji Naresh, a youth from a backward caste and T Swathi Reddy, an upper caste married against her father's wishes. The couple was lured back home after they eloped to Mumbai, and Swathi's father murdered his son-in-law, sparking statewide outrage.

Naresh was reported missing from May 2. Swathi was found hanging dead in her house on May 16, in a case of suicide.
