HYDERABAD: A day after police had recorded the statement of former minister M Mukesh Goud’s son Vikram Goud in connection with mysterious firing on him with a weapon at his residence, a team of investigators collected the call detail record (CDR) of Vikram Goud and his wife Shipali on Sunday.

While Vikram Goud and his wife Shipali told the police that miscreants had entered their residence and opened fire on Vikram Goud with a weapon, preliminary investigation into Vikram Goud’s statement did not match with evidence and witnesses’ account.

As there is no evidence of outsiders visiting Vikram Goud’s residence, police are likely to take a legal opinion and submit a preliminary report to the court. Based on legal proceedings, police are likely to act in the case.

“Based on the statement of Vikram Goud, special teams are on the job. We have collected the CDR of Vikram Goud and his wife Shipali. The investigation is based on call detail record of the couple,” said a police officer.

Police also retrieved the footage from CCTV cameras installed in the surroundings of Vikram Goud’s house and it is learnt that there was no clue about any suspicious movement by ‘miscreants’ on a bike.  “Before filing the status report to the court, we will visit the hospital and question Vikram Goud to get more details about the incident. We will crack the case soon,” police said.
