Girls put up placards to spread awareness about periods

HYDERABAD: Naari, a Not-for-Profit organization which seeks to provide menstrual solutions to women from all walks of life, has launched an awareness drive - #GreenTheRed.

The intiative is supported by Telangana state pollution control board (TSPCB). The team promoted sustainable menstruation and encouraged women to make a switch to reusable menstrual products like menstrual cups and cloth napkins. Participants were happy to sport a green bindi over red bindi signifying the theme - GREEN THE RED.

Says Anju Arora, founder of Nari, “We work with girls and women through various avenues like schools, colleges, corporates, anganwadis, self-help groups to transform them to be period positive and enable them to be period-ready.”
