HYDERABAD: South Central Railway general manager Vinod Kumar Yadav inaugurated the 100 kWp on-grid solar plant on the roof top of Rail Nilayam, SCR headquarters in Secunderabad, on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Kumar Yadav said that as part of the National Solar Mission of the Union government, the railways has taken green initiative to provide solar plants on the roof top of all the zonal railways. The total cost of this plant is `70.17 lakh and it consists of two power condition units.
All the panels are provided on the roof area of A, B, C & D blocks of Rail Nilayam.
