Reading Ambedkar will inspire the oppressed: Subba Rao

Reading Ambedkar will empower the depressed classes to break free from oppression of the upper castes and the powerful, an official on Special Duty, Telangana State Commission for SCs and STs, said.

HYDERABAD: In the run up to commemoration of father of Indian Constitution Dr BR Ambedkar’s 125th birth anniversary - on April 14, the Osmania University College for Women (OUCW) organised a series of lectures on ‘issues and challenges in emancipating the depressed classes’ on Tuesday.

R Subba Rao, officer on Special Duty (OSD), Telangana State Commission for SCs and STs, who was the guest of honour at the event said, “Reading Ambedkar will empower the depressed classes to break 
free from oppression of the upper castes and the powerful.”

RS Praveen Kumar, secretary of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society said,  “I beleive that you all young women are purna (complete) in yourself.

You should never compromise on your individuality. Never feel you are suppressed, believe in yourself.”
