HYDERABAD: Ted events keep the attendees glued to their seats, thanks to the pep talks and the stage presence of the speakers from various fields and the magnanimity of the event itself. Today VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology is organising TEDx VNRVJIET at its premises in Bachupally. The event has seen registration of more than 120 people.

It’s an interesting line-up of speakers who talk about poetry, art, architecture, bio-mimicry,  and much more. Carolyn Theresa Simon, a food blogger presents her unique journey of being a food connoisseur and taking it forward as a traveller and photographer as well.

Another blogger and book lover Shruti Yamajala speaks about her rendezvous with the printed words. There is some music too amidst other talks.

There’s Rahul on Ghatam, Soumalya on Sarod and Abhinav on Handpan. These travelling musicians break the conventional paradigms.

There is also a talk on ‘poetry as emotional catharsis’ by city-based poets Saima Afreen and Akila G. Their session includes recitation of their own poems. The event is from 10 am to 5 pm.
