HYDERABAD: A 23-year-old, who was returning after purchasing a cake for the birthday party of his cousin’s son, died on the spot after the bike on which he was riding on rammed into a divider in Santoshnagar police limits on Sunday. Another person, who was on the backseat of the bike was hospitalised receiving serious injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Manoj Kumar, a resident of Bandingpet and the injured as Ravinder, resident of Madannapet.The sub-inspector V Satyanarayana said Manoj had come to his cousin Ravinder’s residence to attend Ravinder’s son’s birthday party on Sunday. The duo left their home to purchase a cake for the birthday party.
“They purchased a cake from a bakery and were returning on a bike. Manoj who was riding the bike lost control and hit the divider. In the mishap, Manoj died on the spot,” the SI said.
The injured’s condition is stated to be serious.
