TRS MLC, aides booked for assaulting rival party activists

The police said that due to power cut, the cameras installed at the police station could not capture the episode, but however, blood stains were clearly found on the floors of the police station indicating violence.  


During late in the evening on Sunday, a group of youngsters were allegedly attacked by supporters of Hanumanth Rao when they were at KVR function hall on the outskirts of Pet Basheerabad. 


When the injured persons rushed to the police station to lodge a complaint, the MLC and his aides allegedly attacked the victims again in the police station. 


As there was no power supply, nobody could see who attacked the victims again. Before police could react, the suspects escaped from the police station.Based on a complaint lodged by one PM Sai Prasad, the Pet Basheerabad police on Monday booked a case against Hanumanth Rao, Nakka Prabhakar Goud and others under sections 147 (Punishment for rioting), 149 (Every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object), 290 (Punishment for public nuisance), 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of IPC.


Pet Basheerabad inspector DV Ranga Reddy confirmed the case booked against the MLC and said the injured persons are being treated at a private hospital and are stated to be out of danger. 
Investigation is underway to the find the role of suspects mentioned in the complaint, he said.

Cong men lodge complaint against Hanumanth Rao

A day after the MLC Mynampally Hanumanth Rao and his followers assaulted Congress leaders inside police station in Cyberabad, the Telangana State Congress leaders on Monday called on the Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Sharma and submitted a representation seeking action against the MLC and others.

A delegation from Congress party led by former MLA Kuna Srisailam Goud met the DGP at his office. In their complaint, Congress leaders demanded the police to take stern action against MLC Mynampally Hanumanth Rao and his associate Nakka Prabhakar Goud.

“TRS activists and leaders assaulted a Congress leader who had gone to attend a marriage function on Sunday. After he received injuries, he approached police seeking action. In presence of police, the TRS activists and MLC assaulted the Congress party activists in police station premises,” Congress leader alleged.
