HYDERABAD: Hours after sleuths of Income Tax department concluded a three-day long search at the residences and various offices of industrialist Ponnapula Sanjeeva Prasad alias Goldstone Prasad and his brother Ponnapula Sanjeeva Parthasarathy in Hyderabad and New Delhi, Prasad reached out to a select group of media and reiterated that he has not fled the country nor planned to do so. He cited certain reports and refuted allegations against him. “I have extended my full corporation to IT department. Since the matter regarding Miyapur land scam case is subjudice I have no comments. I am ready to corporate with officials for further probe also,” said Prasad, speaking at a star hotel in city. 

Prasad’s wife, two daughters, and their husbands, Prasad’s lawyer Jandhyala Ravi Shankar said were all citizens and residents of the United States of America and that there was no question of them fleeing the country. “The Apex court has granted stay on their arrest too,” he added. 
Seemingly confident about his case in the matter, he said no documents or cash have been seized from him and that his IT returns were clean and satisfactory. 

Not more than `20,000 was found at his residence after three days of searches, said Ravi Shankar. 
Prasad also stated that he is one of the highest taxpayers in the country and all his individual and firm’s financial transations were transparent. 


About the Miyapur land scam case in which Cyberabad police had registered cases and arrested his brother PS Parthasarathi, he said the lands were purchased legally. Speaking about the Miyapur land scam case, Ravi Shankar said his client had purchased only SANAD rights for the land and there was no question of purchasing the sale deed. “Since it is SANAD rights, it was entered into book 4 and not into book 1. It is only a matter of transfer of rights of SANAD. How can that be a fraud,” he asked.
