Mettuguda-Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar stretch inspection starts

With only 10 days left for the inauguration of the much-awaited Hyderabad Metro Rail, which is likely to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi launch the first phase of the completed stretch.

HYDERABAD: With only 10 days left for the inauguration of the much-awaited Hyderabad Metro Rail, which is likely to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi launch the first phase of the completed stretch between Nagole and Miyapur, the concessionaire of the project L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited has announced the commencement of Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) inspection on the stretch from Mettuguda to Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar.

Officer Ram Kirpal of CMRS is accompanied by KB Ram Meher, deputy CRS Engg, GP Garg, deputy CRS elect and E Srinivas, deputy CRS Signalling. The CMRS will inspect the civil works, permanent-way, RoB, viaduct, stations, electrical, signalling and train control, telecommunication, rolling stock and other railway systems of the Hyderabad Metro Rail designed so as to ensure safety of passengers.
The stretch from Miyapur to Ameerpet has been already inspected and certified.
