HYDERABAD: All the 72 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across Telangana have been issued instructions to furnish detailed data pertaining to the municipal roads in their respective municipalities and municipal corporations including Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) as Transport Research wing of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is bringing out ‘’Basic Road Statistics of India’’ publication shortly.
Based on the representation by senior adviser to the Transport Research wing in New Delhi Kirti Saxena to the state government , the Municipal Administration department forwarded the representation to the all the ULBs in the state to submit the details of municipal roads in their respective corporations and municipalities. Director of Municipal Administration, T K Sreedevi directed Regional Director cum Appellate Commissioners (RDMAs) of Warangal and Hyderabad to take necessary steps, obtain the required data from the concerned ULBs and submit a consolidated report so that the Municipal Administration department forwards the data to MORTH for the publication.
