HYDERABAD: Allegedly depressed over her poor academic performance, a 17-year-old girl pursuing NEET coaching at Sri Chaitanya college in Madhapur committed suicide on Wednesday. Madhapur police have recovered a four-page suicide note, written in Telugu, from the hostel room.  T Samyuktha, a native of Ranampally village in Nizamabad joined Sri Chaitanya college in Madhapur for a longterm course earlier this year.

On Wednesday night, the girl was found hanging from the ceiling of her hostel room. She was rushed to the Maxcure hospital in Madhapur after students informed the hostel staff, but was declared as brought dead.  According to the note, reportedly written by her, she was not happy with her performance and was also losing focus due to a past conversation with a guy, whom she did not name.

“I did not intentionally chat with him. I was feeling low and had chatted for sometime for fun. I am unable to control my thoughts and I am a trouble for my parents. They are struggling a lot for me, but I am unable to live up to their expectations,” the girl reportedly wrote before hanging herself. Further, the letter read “I am not scared of death now, but of life. It has been several months since I remember myself being happy.”
