Man washed away in drain in Hyderabad not traced yet

Despite a day after a drunk man got washed away in a nala at Jeedimetla, police are continuing their efforts to locate the man.

HYDERABAD: Despite a day after a drunk man got washed away in a nala at Jeedimetla, police are continuing their efforts to locate the man. Jeedimetla police have alerted neighbouring police stations about the incident and joint efforts are on to remove garbage from the nala to locate the man.
Jeedimetla police said efforts to rescue the man who got swept away in rain waters of the nala at Ganesh Nagar, it did not result positive.

During rescue operation, huge quantities of garbage was found in the nala and using JCBs the mud and garbage is being removed. The nala joins Musi river at Begumpet after flowing through Bowenpally.
Jeedimetla inspector C Shanker Reddy said none has complained about the incident nor claimed about the man who fell in the nala. It may be recalled that an unidentified man had jumped into a nala at Ganesh Nagar in Quthbullapur of Jeedimetla on Saturday evening, after rains. The alerted locals jumped into the rescue of the man by trying to pull him up using a rope, but in vain.
