School teacher dies in road accident on Hyderabad National Highway

A school teacher was killed and his wife injured in a road accident on the Hyderabad National Highway near Ibrahimpatnam Ring Centre on Saturday late night.

VIJAYAWADA: A school teacher was killed and his wife injured in a road accident on the Hyderabad National Highway near Ibrahimpatnam Ring Centre on Saturday late night. According to Ibrahimpatnam circle inspector D Chawan, the deceased was identified as Aakula Kishore, a school teacher working in a private school in Ibrahimpatnam.

Aakula Kishore and his wife Sujatha were on their way home in Guntupalli in his bike after attending a family function in Ibrahimpatnam when the tragedy struck around 11 pm. His motorcycle was hit by a unknown vehicle, believed to be a car, and Kishore sustained severe injuries on head. His wife Sujatha also injured.

A passersby who saw the duo lying on road side rushed them to a local hospital in 108 ambulance. However, the doctors at the hospital declared Kishore brought dead. Kishore’s wife Sujatha is in an unconscious state.

After a complaint from family members, a case has been registered in Ibrahimpatnam police station and officials said they are collecting the details of unknown vehicle which hit the bike with the help of CCTV footage recorded in Ibrahimptnam Ring Center.

“When the unknown vehicle hit their motorcycle, they fell on road and passersby observed and rushed them to nearby hospital around 10 minutes after the incident. There is no vehicle rush during the time of the incident. We are collecting details of vehicles passed the circle with the help of CCTV footage,” Chawan said.
