Cops not fully convinced with suicide theory, probe other angles

While the absence of any external injuries does support the theory, the locations from which the five bodies were recovered has aroused suspicion

HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad police are not blindly going ahead with the suicide theory. While the absence of any external injuries does support the theory, the locations from which the bodies were recovered has aroused suspicion. “If it was a suicide, the bodies must have been at the same spot, or at least near each other,” said a senior cop. “But in this case, the women’s bodies were recovered from the bushes on the roadside, while those of the men were found inside a car (AP DM 3775) parked near an underpass on the outer ring road — about 1 km away.”

Adding to suspicion, the car keys were found on the bonnet. “After poisoning and dumping the bodies of the women, Prabhakar could have driven the car for some distance and then poisoned his son and consumed the same,” speculated one officer. The police are also trying to find out the exact financial transactions that took place from demat accounts of the victims — Prabhakar, Laxmi and Laxmis’ husband Ravinder Reddy.

Family and relatives of the victims were shocked to hear of the mysterious deaths. Prabhakar’s parents were devastated after media began to speculate that he could have poisoned his wife Madhavi, son Vashisth and also his aunt Laxmi and her daughter Sindhuja. “He is an MBA graduate and was doing good in his partnership business with Ravinder. None of them complained of incurring any losses ever, and even if they did, it would have not made any difference between the two families,” said Prabhakar’s father Mahipal Reddy.

“If Sindhuja had her classes on Monday, she would have been alive today. She went with Prabhakar and family only because she was free,” shared a devastated Ravinder Reddy, Sindhuja’s father.
Unavailability of doctors delayed PMEAfter the bodies were brought to OGH from Narsingi, it took at least three hours for the forensic doctors to start postmortem examination.Understanding the situation of the family members, Cyberabad police have given a written request to the OGH doctors to engage a team to ensure speedy autopsy and handover the bodies to their respective families. However, unavailability of doctors led to PME starting only at around 5 pm and lasted till late in the night.
