Two women allegedly gang-raped in car near Outer Ring Road

Two city-based women were allegedly gang raped by three men after they were kidnapped in a car near outer ring road on Monday.

HYDERABAD: Two city-based women were allegedly gang raped by three men after they were kidnapped in a car near outer ring road on Monday. The accused allegedly also robbed the women and abandoned them on the road. However, only one of them came forward to register a complaint with the Hayathnagar police on Monday.  

The 33-year-old complainant is into saree business. According to her complaint, she and her friend were waiting in front of the Sai Baba temple in Saroornagar at 2 am on Monday. The duo were to go to Hayathnagar on personal work. Then, a car stopped by and the trio in it asked the women if they could drop them at Hayathnagar. The duo boarded the car. After travelling some distance, the men started misbehaving with them. Their requests to stop the vehicle went unheard. When the car reached the outer ring road near Peddamberpet, one of the women panicked and jumped out of the car. The accused dragged her back into the vehicle. They allegedly parked the vehicle on ORR and raped both the women.
The accused also stole their mobile phones and Rs 2,000 cash and fled from the spot abandoning them there. “The complainant and her friend managed to get onto the road and boarded a van to reach their house,” said inspector J Narender Goud. A case has been registered.

Stalker stabs woman  in broad daylight
A married woman was stabbed by a stalker in broad daylight near Erragadda market in SR Nagar here on Monday. The accused, 25-year-old Ravi Kumar, picked up a sickle from a coconut vendor and stabbed her. Passersby thrashed Kumar before handing him over to police.  
The woman, Sravanthi, received as many as eight stab injuries.
