Student poses as KT Rama Rao’s kin to extort money

Raidurgam police arrested a BBM graduate and his friend for posing as kin of IT minister and chief minister’s son KT Rama Rao.

HYDERABAD:  Raidurgam police on Tuesday arrested a BBM graduate and his engineering graduate friend for posing as kin of IT minister and chief minister’s son KT Rama Rao and taking over a company by threatening to kill the original directors of the company and extorted money from them. He was also using a blue coloured beacon for his car pasting a VIP sticker on it, said police.

Recently, some job aspirants in city had joined a private firm in Khajaguda, by paying `1.5 lakh each as back door entry. But they realised that the company was fraudulent. A few employees who had acquaintance with M Vamsi Krishna Rao (27) of Rajanna Siricilla district, asked him to help them with the issue, as they wanted their money back from the company.

Taking it as an opportunity, Vamsi Krishna barged into the company premises with a weapon. He promised them to settle the issue demanding `10 lakh and threatened to kill them for non-payment. Later, Vamsi Krishna in connivance with Vamshidhar, an employee in that company, hatched a plan to take over the company, “ They made the original directors resign ,” said Madhapur DCP Viswa Prasad. The duo has been arrested.
