Police scan CCTV footage for clues in Hyderabad

Even after 48-hours, mystery shrouds the death of V Naga Lakshmi when her husband was away at work in the night.

HYDERABAD: In the absence of any solid clues from the flat where a 27-year-old homemaker was stabbed to death and set ablaze in the early hours of Tuesday, police are now analysing CCTV footage and call data records of the victim and her husband.  Even after 48-hours, mystery shrouds the death of V Naga Lakshmi when her husband was away at work in the night. Since there was no robbery attempt made at the flat and the house was latched from outside at the time of incident, police are yet to establish what was the motive behind the murder.

DCP, West Zone, A R Srinivas said that they have formed special teams to detect the case by identifying the miscreants. Probe is being based on footage of CCTV and call data record of suspects, he said.“The police have verified the call data of Naga Bhushanam. It was revealed that his mobile phone tower signals traced somewhere else when the incident took place. We cannot rule out the husband’s involvement. Our teams are working in different angles,” the police said.
