HYDERABAD: In the ongoing investigation of the case against Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority Director (Planning) Katta Purushotham Reddy, the Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths on Tuesday, questioned his two benamis Yadav Reddy and Nishanth Reddy.
Last month, ACB booked a case against Purushotham Reddy on charges of possession of disproportionate assets and raided several of his houses and also that of his kin, who were reportedly being his benamis. On Tuesday, the sleuths grilled Yadav Reddy and Nishanth Reddy for the second day regarding the assets and whereabouts of Purushotham Reddy.
ACB officials said “Notices have been served to Radhacharan Reddy and his family, to produce the jewellery, which has been allegedly bought by Purushotham Reddy and is in possession of the former. A team of officials waited for B Srinivas Reddy, benami of Purushotham, at his residence as per the information of his advocate, but he did not turn up to his house on Tuesday also.”The jewellery shop owners are also being examined regarding the jewellery purchased by Purshottam , said the ACB officials.
