HYDERABAD: Chain snatchers went on a spree in Cyberabad police commissionerate targeting three women one after the other within a span of one hour on Friday morning. The police identified that the offenders in the three incidents were the same.At 7 am, the accused duo on a bike targeted one G Lakhsmi (30) in RC Puram. The pillion rider pulled the chain worn by Lakshmi, but she got alert and held the chain. The chain broke and only a small portion of the chain was taken by the snatchers, which was however not made of gold.
About twenty minutes after that, the same offenders targeted one Rajya Lakshmi at Miyapur and relieved her off a four-tola gold chain. About half-an-hour later, another woman identified as K Lakshmi, a cook, was on her way to work at Pragathi Nagar in KPHB Colony, when the same suspects snatched her tolas gold weighing 2.5 tolas and fled. The police after analysing the CCTV footage, have come to a conclusion that the accused in three incidents were same and are searching for them with special teams. The accused wore caps and used hand-kerchiefs to cover their faces, said the Cyberabad police.
