Bad roads leave motorists in the lurch

The incessant rains in the city in the last few days had left the roads bruised and battered in many parts of the city giving torrid time for motorists to drive their vehicles on the roads.

HYDERABAD: Driving on city roads is turning into a nightmare due to the pathetic condition of roads. The incessant rains in the city in the last few days had left the roads bruised and battered in many parts of the city giving torrid time for motorists to drive their vehicles on the roads. The roads which were in bad shape due to poor maintenance and incessant rains have changed the city’s landscape from bad to worse.

Countless potholes and craters can be seen in different parts of the city. Though GHMC officials claim that a few hundred potholes have been formed due to rains, they are 10 times than what they claim. peeled off in no time. Apart from battered roads, one can easily find hundreds of pothole roads giving jitters to the people, particularly to the motorists. GHMC Commissioner, B Janardhan Reddy during an inspection of roads, flyover works, Harita Haram in Amberpet on Monday directed the officials to carry out repairs to the damaged roads to avoid inconvenience to the people, pothole fillings should be taken up on priority to make the roads motorable.
