HYDERABAD: A police inspector from Adilabad, who was carrying `10 lakh of unaccountable cash and land documents, was detained by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials in the city on Thursday.
According to ACB officials, Bhoomaiah was planning to buy a property at Kamsanipalli in Vikarabad district with the money.
On a tip off, the ACB officials intercepted his vehicle on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Rajendranagar and found that inspector was carrying `10 lakh along with documents.
A case has been registered against the inspector under Prevention of Corruption Act 1988.
