HYDERABAD:  A Hyderabadi woman stranded in Saudi Arabia for the past one year is all set to return to her home in Asif Nagar in a few days, following the intervention from Ministry of External Affairs.
On June 2, 2017, Safora Begum, went to Riyadh in search of job for supporting her children. She was sent by two travel agents, Syed Shanawaz Jameel and Moosa who promised her a job as the lab technician in the capital city.

“However, when she went there, her kafeel forced her to work as a housemaid to which she objected. She was threatened and thus, she started working out of fear,” said Mohammed Ghouse, her brother. With time, the situation worsened and Begum was forced to make a video appeal to Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj which later went viral. In the video, Begum said, “My kafeel is torturing me, not giving me food. I am making this video with great difficulty. Please help me, my kafeel does not let me sleep, hits me.”Safora will be returning to Hyderabad on July 23.
