HYDERABAD: Hyderabad accounts for 80% of the Haleem orders in the country (on Swiggy), followed by Bangalore and Chennai. The City of Pearls, with a host of delectable options to choose from, continues to be a haven for some mouth-watering Iftaar fares. Yet, no Iftaar menu in the holy month of fasting is complete without a serving of the famous Hyderabadi Haleem.

Given its popularity, Hyderabadis flock to Swiggy to order a serving of this delicacy be it for lunch, snack or dinner time. Order analysis from Swiggy shows that Haleem orders on the platform are seeing a significant growth, fuelled by the increasing number of restaurants and exciting offers for consumers. This year, Swiggy doubled the number of restaurants serving Haleem on its platform compared to 2017.

In fact, the average weekly orders for Haleem also jumped over a 100% compared to last year. Overall, Swiggy witnessed a 95 percent increase in Haleem orders in Hyderabad during Ramadan time compared to non- Ramadan days this year.
