HYDERABAD: IN yet another gruesome crime in the city, the dead body of a woman was found dumped at the premises of the Institute of Mental Health in Eragadda on Thursday. Her feet, till the ankles, were chopped off and thrown over the terrace of Male Open Ward of the institute. Police have not been able to find any leads yet, but they suspect her feet could have been chopped for silver anklets.

Cops have circulated her pictures with all police stations to identify her. On Thursday, a group of kids saw the body dumped in a corner outside the building.

The Institute’s superintendent Dr M Uma Shankar, when informed, asked his staff to check if any of their patients were missing. They found out she was not their patient. Police rushed to the spot and cordoned it as locals started to visit the institute to have a look at the body. Punjagutta ACP Vijay Kumar said that there were no stab injuries but saree was wrapped around her neck.
