Parents blame physio for fracturing toddler’s leg

Parents of a two-and-half-year boy alleged that the toddler’s leg got fractured while undergoing Physiotherapy at DK Government Homeo Hospital in Ramanthapur.

HYDERABAD: Parents of a two-and-half-year boy alleged that the toddler’s leg got fractured while undergoing Physiotherapy at DK Government Homeo Hospital in Ramanthapur. However, the hospital’s superintendent Dr N Lingaraju denied the allegation and said that the toddler already had fracture in leg. Based on a complaint, a case has been filed at Uppal Police Station under IPC Section 338.

Sub inspector of Police L Ravi Kumar said that parents of the toddler Abhishek had been taking him for physiotherapy to the hospital for the past one-month. They alleged in their complaint that while undergoing physiotherapy on June 14, the boy had a fracture. Family members and other staged protest at the hospital on Tuesday.

However, Police said that they will investigate if the toddler received fracture during the procedure or after it.
