‘Nude’ dare leaves denizens annoyed in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: At a time when internet dares and viral challenges are all the rage, a Hyderabadi youngster was spotted standing seminude in the middle of a busy street on Sunday, after accepting a dare by his friends. The incident created quite the stir in the city, so much that it led to traffic snarls and annoyed quite a few citizens.

A netizen Madhu Sudhan Reddy, who noticed the incident, posted a video of the same tagging the Hyderabad police officials on Twitter. He was seeking action against the youngsters for indulging in such “silly and shameful acts” for “popularity”. The Hyderabad police responded to the complaint immediately and initiated the process to verify the video and trace the persons involved in the prank. 

“We are referring the case to the Cybercrime wing for the verification of the footage,” IT officials said. Police also found that one Vinay Kuyya, a popular YouTuber, have been frequently making such prank videos at numerous places across the city, and have been accused of creating panic among the denizens with his ‘shenanigans’. Kuyya has a series of prank videos that have been posted on his YouTube, Facebook pages. The pranks include doing weird dance steps in public spaces, giving hugs to strangers, and ‘gay proposals’.

After preliminary inquiries, police found that Kuyya has made at least 73 prank videos hitherto and strongly suspect that he was involved in this case as well. “We will identify him by tracing the IP address,” said police.
